Your Loved: Bible Prayer (“Selah”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application and related services.

- Account Information: Email address, display name, and encrypted password when you create an account.
- Prayer & Conversation Data: Text and voice input you provide when using the AI prayer chat, including transcribed audio.
- Journal Entries: Personal reflections, moods, and prayer journal content you create.
- Saved Items: Verses, prayers, devotionals, and answers you save within the app.
- Preferences: Selected topics, voice settings, and Bible translation preferences.
- Subscription Data: Subscription status and payment information processed through Stripe (we do not store credit card numbers).
- Usage Data: Daily usage counts for AI queries, voice features, and saved items.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide personalized Bible encouragement, prayer, and Scripture responses.
- To process your voice input using speech-to-text and text-to-speech services.
- To save your preferences, journal entries, and favorite content.
- To manage your subscription and billing through Stripe.
- To detect crisis situations and provide appropriate safety resources.
- To improve our services and user experience.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- AI Service Provider: Your prayer chat and text input are processed by our AI service provider (Abacus.AI, using Anthropic Claude models) to generate Bible-based encouragement, prayers, and Scripture responses.
- Voice Features: Speech-to-text and text-to-speech are performed on your device using its built-in speech services whenever available. If on-device speech recognition is unavailable, your recorded audio may be securely sent to a third-party provider (OpenAI) solely to transcribe it to text.
- Stripe: For secure subscription billing and payment processing.
- Google: For optional Google Sign-In authentication.
- Expo / React Native: For app delivery and updates.
These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in secure, encrypted databases. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt encryption. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. When you delete your account, we permanently remove all your personal data, including saved verses, prayers, journal entries, preferences, and conversation history. 7. Children’s Privacy
Our app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
8. Your Rights
- Access your personal data stored in the app.
- Correct inaccurate information via your account settings.
- Delete your account and all associated data.
- Export your saved content (verses, prayers, journal entries).
- Opt out of voice features at any time.
